OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is here today largely because of the community support it has received throughout its history. When The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis founded their healthcare ministry in 1877, they were dependent on the generosity of neighbors to keep the struggling hospital open.

While much has changed at OSF Saint Francis and in healthcare in general since those early days, the need for community support has remained as great as ever.
