Since 1877, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center has fulfilled the Mission of our Sisters: to serve with the greatest care and love. In the years following, we have grown into the fourth largest medical center in the state of Illinois, with a medical staff of more than 800 physician and 616 patient beds. A major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, OSF Saint Francis is the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and tertiary care medical center.

Paws 4 Healing

OSF Saint Francis and Children’s Hospital of Illinois are pleased to offer animal assisted therapy to our patients because dogs make people happy.

Dog and handler teams are trained specifically for the hospital and are exclusive to OSF Saint Francis and Children’s Hospital.
