Laboratory Supplies

As part of our service, the OSF System Laboratory provides a test requisition that includes the most frequently ordered procedures. All of our clients receive a manual outlining the tests available from our laboratory and receive an in-service on how to complete the requisitions, use a centrifuge, and properly store specimens for courier pick-up. As new tests are added to our menu, each client is notified in writing.

The Laboratory provides specimen collection materials including blood collection tubes, needles, tourniquets, transportation bags, and requisitions. These materials are delivered to the offices by the courier on an as-needed basis. Centrifuge and specimen lock boxes are provided when necessary. OSF System Laboratory transmits test results to remote printers that we place in the client’s office. The phone line is installed and maintained by our laboratory. Reports are printed out on a schedule that provides results in less than 24 hours for a majority of test requests.
