CT Lung Cancer Screening

Do you think you are at risk for lung cancer or have a history of lung cancer in your family? OSF Saint Francis now offers CT screening program for early detection of lung cancer.

If found during early stages, lung cancer can be cured with surgery; therefore, early detection is key. This option is designed for high risk patients between the ages of 55 and 74 who are smokers or former smokers and symptom free. If you have had lung cancer in the past this is not the right option for you. Your scan will be reviewed by a radiologist and discused with an Advanced Practice Nurse and Pulmonologist for presence of lung nodules, masses or other abnormalities. 

The cost of the CT screening is $200, which includes the scan and interpretation. It is important to note that this screening is not covered by insurance or Medicare.
