Thomas L. Gross, M.D.
Dr.
Thomas Gross graduated from the University of Illinois College
of Medicine at Chicago in 1971. He completed a residency
in Obstetrics and Gynecology at
Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio in 1977. He pursued further training
in high risk pregnancy by completing a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1979.
Dr. Gross is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
in both general Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is
director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine for North Central Perinatal Region in Illinois
and Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria. His professional interests include management
of high risk pregnancies and regionalization of obstetric care in the state
of Illinois. He is a member of the State of Illinois Perinatal Advisory Committee,
the subcommittee for hospital designation of obstetric care and the Advisory
Committee of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Yolanda R. Renfroe, M.D.
Dr.
Yolanda Renee Renfroe graduated from Howard University College of Medicine
in Washington, D.C. in 1987. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and
Gynecology at Wayne State University Affiliated Hospital
Program Hutzel Hospital. She
completed
a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Hutzel Hospital/Wayne State University
School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan in 1993. She worked two years in
private practice and as the residency program director at
Wayne State University before
moving to Peoria in November of 1995.
Dr. Renfroe is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Inc. in both general Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Her professional interests include, but are not limited to, comprehensive
fetal ultrasound,
prenatal diagnosis, prevention of pre-term birth, and management of high
risk pregnancies. Her educational interests include, but are not limited
to, medical
student education in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Michael Leonardi, M.D.
Dr.
Michael Leonardi graduated from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine
in Chicago in 1988. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
at Wilford Hall UASF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas in 1992. Following
two years of general OB/GYN practice, he pursued further training in high risk
obstetrics. He completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Wayne
State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1996.
Dr. Leonardi is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, Inc. in both general Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal
Medicine.
His professional interests include comprehensive fetal ultrasound, prenatal
diagnosis,
prevention of preterm birth, and management of high risk pregnancies.
What is a Perinatologist?
A Perinatologist is a physician who specializes in Maternal-Fetal
Medicine. Our physicians are Obstetrician-Gynecologists
who spent extra years training to manage complicated and
high-risk
pregnancies.
They are trained in comprehensive ultrasound and management
of maternal and fetal medical and surgical diseases. All
our physicians
are board certified in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Maternal-Fetal
