Diagnostic Center

A Central Illinois First The Center for Health is the first center in central Illinois to have a completely filmless diagnostic department. Images provided by CT scans, MRIs, X-rays, and ultrasound can be stored using digital imaging. This allows our radiologist to view your images on a computer from anywhere in the OSF system.

Should your images need to be reviewed outside of the Center for Health or OSF Saint Francis Medical Center's downtown Peoria campus, images can be provided on film or CD-ROM. If you should need a specialist interpretation, the radiologist at either OSF Saint Francis site can call up your study on the computer for a telephone consultation, saving you the wait or effort of having to transport images to another location.

In addition to having the latest technology available, you will find savings relating to time and costs. Designated exclusively for outpatients, our wait times are usually less than at hospitals because of a streamlined system that doesn't have the interruptions associated with critical and emergency hospital patients.
