32nd Annual Wildlife Trail Classic

Mark your calendar for the 32nd Annual OSF Wildlife Trail Classic.  This race/walk is unique in so many ways!  It is a special challenge to runners with dirt roads, open fields, grassy paths, wooded trails, animal areas and possible water crossings. Our overall award is very unique compared to other races. The overall female and male finishers of the 4 mile race receive an Elk antler as their trophy. Best of all, proceeds benefit the Heart Health Educational Fund at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. We are partnered with the IVS (Illinois Valley Striders), so points can be earned from the 
Wildlife Trail Classic and applied to the series of
approved 2012 races for year end prizes.
Whether you walk, run or want to volunteer,

When

Saturday, April 21, 2012

• 6:30am     Gates open
• 6:30-7:30am    Race-day registration and packet pick up
• 8:00am     4 Mile Cross Country Run
                  2 Mile Walk will start immediately after the runners begin
• 9:00am     Children's Fun Run 

Location

Wildlife Prairie State Park, located on Taylor Road between Route 116 and Route 8. If traveling on I-74 west, take Exit 82 which is ten miles west of Peoria.

Children's Fun Run

The Children's Fun Run will begin promptly at 9:00am, after the 4-mile run and 2-mile walk.  Children under 4 must be accompanied by an adult.  Children ages 4-7 will run 1/4 mile through Merrill Woods, and children ages 8 and older will run 1/2 mile through Merrill Woods and Helige Trail.  All participants of the Children's Fun Run will receive a special award and t-shirt!

Post-Race Breakfast

All race participants and volunteers are invited to a post-race breakfast.   Fruit and water will be available at the finish line.  Awards and Prizes will be announced at this time. 

Awards

• Overall female and male finishers
• Top two female and male finishers in each age division
• All children who participate in the Children's Fun Run will receive a ribbon.

• 13 & under
• 14-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60+

Entry Fees

 Entry fee includes race entry, tech t-shirt, race packet, admission to Wildlife Prairie State Park and a continental breakfast after the race. Children's Fun Run entry includes a cotton t-shirt and ribbon.

Children's Fun Run

• $10 pre-registration (post-marked by Monday 4/16/12)
• $10 race-day registration
