Melinda Lange, APN, RN,BSN
OSF Surgical Weight Loss Center of Excellence, APN/Program Coordinator

Melinda received her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing degrees from the Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing. She is an adult health Clinical Nurse Specialist and Advanced Practice Nurse. Melinda has been an associate member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) since 2002. She spearheaded the development of the Bariatric Program in 2000 and coordinates all aspects of our outpatient program. Melinda works closely with the surgeons to make sure weight loss surgery is a success for patients. 


Mary Pyatt
OSF Surgical Weight Loss Center of Excellence, Secretary II

Mary has been with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center for over 35 years and with the Bariatric program since 2001. Mary is a charter member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals Tri-County Chapter since 2004. She is the main contact for the Bariatric Program and helps with the clerical aspects of our program. She is willing to answer your questions and help you through your journey of weight loss


Lori Walters, RD,LDN
OSF Surgical Weight Loss Center of Excellence, Dietitian

Lori received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Illinois. She then completed her dietetic internship in Atlanta, Georgia, at Georgia Baptist Medical Center. She started at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in 1990 as a surgical dietitian and helped develop the OSF Saint Francis Bariatric Program in 2000. She is committed to helping you make healthy food choices and guide you in taking vitamins you need for life beyond weight loss surgery.


Heather Howe, APN, ACNS-BC
Peoria Surgical Group, APN

Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bradley University and earned her MSN from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing December 2009.  She joined the bariatric team at Peoria Surgical Group, Ltd in January 2010.  Heather is currently enrolled at Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. 


Hong Ji
OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Exercise Specialist

Hong is originally from China where she earned her Masters Degree from Beijing College of Physical Education and Bachelors Degree from Harbin Institute of Physical Education. Hong began teaching gymnastics, Tai Chi/Qigong, and other varieties of health fitness classes in China before moving to the US in 1996. She works as an Exercise Specialist with Arthritis Services, Surgical Weight loss Program and Medical Exercise/Silver Sneaker Program at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Hong has co-authored a series of articles on “Cha Dao: The Way of Tea” in the national journal Acupuncture Today and holds a Chinese Tea Tasting class at the RiverPlex to educate the public on different types of Chinese teas and their many health benefits. 


Cassie Carlyle
Bariatric Patient Advocate, Peoria Surgical Group

Cassie has worked for Peoria Surgical Group, Ltd since 2004. She worked to verify patient and insurance information for the surgeons and has developed her expertise in this area. Cassie now works directly with patients to obtain insurance approval prior to their surgical procedures.  


Robert C. Glazeski, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Glazeski received his B.S. and M.A. degree from Bradley University and his Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1982. He served as the Director of Behavioral Science Training for the University of Illinois Residency and Family Practice at St. Francis Medical Center from 1983 to 1993. He was also in private practice in Clinical Psychology from 1983 until 1996, at which time he joined the OSF Medical Group Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Practice.
He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, and the National Council of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
Dr. Glazeski has been involved with the OSF Saint Francis Bariatric Program for eight years, performing psychological assessments and therapy services.


Patresa R. Brager, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Brager received her BS degree from Bradley University, and her Ph.D. from Illinois State University in 2002. She began post-doctoral training at Children's Hospital of Illinois in 2001 through 2002. Following her completion of her doctorate she joined Health Psychology at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and OSF Medical Group Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Practices.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Council of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
Dr. Brager has been involved with the OSF Saint Francis Bariatric Program for four years, performing psychological assessments and therapy service
