Institute on Aging

OSF Saint Francis Medical Center established the Institute on Aging in Peoria in 1989 to meet the complete health needs of seniors in Central Illinois. The Institute offers memory disorder evaluation, dementia management, education and referral services. Health care is provided by a team professionally certified in the field of geriatrics. The team also serves as a resource for families providing care to a loved one.

The Institute of Aging specializes in assessment and treatment of the following problems often seen in the aging adult:

• Memory loss
• Dementia
• Depression
• Falls and mobility limitations
• Urinary incontinence
• Osteoporosis
• Chronic diseases
• Multiple medications

We encourage you to ask your primary care physician for a referral to the Institute on Aging. When the referral is received, you will be called to schedule an appointment.
