Overview of the Behavioral Health Adult Program
When everyday problems seem larger than life, it’s time to seek help. For more than 25 years, the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Behavioral Health Adult Program has been providing support for patients 18 years and older who are facing depression or anxiety.
We want you to know that you’re not alone. We work with patients hand-in-hand to provide high-quality, compassionate care. Our health care professionals and therapists offer counseling and support as we work with you to create your own individualized treatment plan. Our goal is to help you take the first step towards a better life.

What to Expect During Your Visit
On your first visit, a psychotherapist will spend an hour talking with you about what you’re experiencing right now, as well as discussing your personal and family history. This will help us get to know you better as we recommend the best course of treatment.
On the day of your appointment, please arrive 20 to 30 minutes early. Please bring the following items with you:
- Health insurance information, including authorizations or referrals
- Completed patient information form
- List of prescription medications and dosages, along with the pill bottles
- List of allergies, including medications
- List of questions you may have
- Paper and pen to take notes
