Building more than bricks and mortar...

  Building a true healing environment

Today we realized that the quality of a hospital's patient rooms, corridors and public space directly influences both the health outcomes of patients and the stress levels and efficiency of hospital staff.

In the Milestone Project, that means more attention to the use of natural light and soothing colors, music and artwork, even gardens to provide quiet comfort for patients, families and staff.

The results?  Studies show that patients actually heal faster, require less medication and spend less time in the hospital when their physical environment is pleasant, quiet, naturally lit and aesthetically pleasing.

Reducing noise is also a priority.  To create a complete healing environment, our expansion project will feature a "third corridor" to handle all service and delivery carts, leaving patient room corridors free of cart traffic and the accompanying clatter.

Our Mission, "to serve persons with the greatest care and love," will be evident from the first step inside our new campus entrance.  The warmth, compassion and competence of the environment perfectly mirrors the superb medical care to come.
