Admission Requirements

1. Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution 2.8 overall GPA
2. Minimum academic requirements established by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
3. Limited to U.S. citizens or permanent residents of visa status
4. Additional coursework in medical nutrition therapy is required when a degree has been completed five or more years prior to internship application.
Application OSF Saint Francis uses DICAS for their Dietetic Intern selection process.
Entrance Date Program starts on the second Monday of June and the second Monday of October
Program Length 52 weeks.
Class Size Five interns for each class section (total of ten interns per year)
Work Schedule Approximately 40 hours per week (5 days, 8 hours per day)
Vacation

Each intern has seventeen (17) days of time off from the internship program

  • There are no extra days off for holidays, you must use your days off if the holiday falls on a weekday.
Stipend $200 per month plus free meals
Health Insurance Interns are required to obtain their own health insurance

  • All applicants must participate in the D&D Digital Systems computer matching process

  • D&D Digital charges $50 for processing

Accreditation
The OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Dietetic Internship Program is currently accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
